Adwick Park Rangers u11s won their first ever league championship beating Thorne U11s in a winner takes all match at Outwood School this last Sunday.

The performance of all the boys was simply sublime highlighted by one of our parents in his match report

First half

A fast start with some of the best passing all season going on. Unlucky not to be a couple of goals up early. Thorne having a couple of breaks, and completely against the run of play sneak the opener.

APR not letting their heads drop as it's an immediate reply from Lennon. More pressure and quite frankly world class football and Shay gets the second to put Adwick into a well deserved lead.

More Brazil like football and TJ finds himself free in the box. 3-1. Very few chances for Thorne as they can barely touch the ball. Simple passing up front and Shay bags a brace. 4-1. There are not enough superlatives for this first half performance. Wow. HT 4-1

Second Half

A tighter second half, but possession was key. Thorne unable to make any decent chances. Could have had a few more, but Lewis gets a header from a Lennon corner for a 5th APR goal.

It's all celebrations despite a late consolation goal for the away team. What a game, what a performance, Top of the league and deserved winners. FT 5-2
